ACTIVITIES The principle activities of the company are as follows: Manufacturers of galvanized and colour coated steel roof sheeting. Steel furniture tubing in round, square and rectangular profiles. Steel pipes in uncoated, black, galvanized and flanged finish including for screwed and socketed. Cold formed lipped channels in uncoated or pre-galvanised finish. Cut to length facility for de-coiling and leveling galvanized, hot rolled and cold rolled steel sheeting. Stocking and merchanting of all prime steel products for the retailing, engineering, construction, mining, agriculture, government, parastatal and informal sectors.

Barloworld Equipment is the Southern African dealer for Cat Earthmoving Equipment, with operations in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, Swaziland, Namibia, Angola, Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique and joint ventures in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Barloworld Equipment also holds full ownership of the main dealership on the Iberian peninsula and has recently completed the buy-out of their joint partner in the eastern Russia, Siberia dealership.
Deven Engineering manufactures buses, truck bodies, truck canopies, trailers and also specialize in general engineering.
Essar Tubes and Towers (Pvt) Ltd was formed in 2002, when it acquired the fabrication and galvanising divisions of ABB Zimbabwe. The company’s operations are located in Willowvale, Harare and include a fully equipped workshop with railway siding, sand blasting facilities and personnel with vast experience. In 2005, a tube mill was commissioned on site. This was a significant indicator of the company’s ambition and growth within the Zimbabwean market despite the economic downturn.
Almin metal industries limited is a Zimbabwean company founded in 1969 and is in the business of manufacturing and marketing of aluminium profiles for architecture, irrigation and general engineering purposes. Almin owns and operates a world class aluminium extrusion facility, the only one in Zimbabwe and has vertically integrated aluminium processing capabilities comprising of an extrusion plant and metal finishing operations such as anodizing and powder coating. It is locally self-sufficient in operating a Remelt facility for melting, alloying and casting extrusion billet and also operates a light metal foundry. Almin products are sold to property developers, architects, shopfitters or fabricators, contractors, farmers and even to individuals. The company serves both the local and exports markets in Sub Saharan Africa and beyond.
